Abstract

This study focuses on college students in Taiwan's industrial design departments, conducting an in-depth analysis and discussion on different models of interdisciplinary courses. It compares the educational outcomes and impacts of various course models on students to derive more effective interdisciplinary teaching program designs and implementation suggestions. The results indicate that short-term interdisciplinary courses (STIC), long-term interdisciplinary course programs (LTIC), and problem-based learning-oriented interdisciplinary courses (PBLIC) all enhance the interdisciplinary capabilities of industrial design students.
