Proposal for upcycled product and brands utilizing worn-out kendo uniforms

Abstract

Wearing kendo uniforms with faded indigo dye or inadequate sizing is against the culture of kendo. Therefore, worn-out kendo uniforms are no longer worn in tournaments and other formal occasions.

However, owners are attached to their worn-out kendo uniforms and miss the opportunity to dispose of them. The project will utilize worn-out kendo wear and produce upcycled products. In addition, we propose an upcycled brand to create a new story between kendo uniforms and its owners.
