抄録
Development of art and design by light is one of the most significant features in the twentieth century. Growth and expansion of communication, traffic, high buildings, underground towns and exhibitions yielded many and various design by light. And, also in the field of fine art, it has become to appear as "light-art" in museums. I suppose these tendencies will be more prosperous in the future. Progress of science and tecnology will keep up them. Under such circumstances,I think we must teach about basic problems(theory and practice) of light-art and light-design. From such point of view, I studied about many features of light in art and design, and about how to use them for creating, in this paper. I believe such study by me is useful not only for education of art and design but for development of creation by light.
