CORRESPONDENCE ANALYSIS IN SEDAN TYPE BASED ON CAR PACKAGING ITEMS AND DESIGN ELEMENTS : Packaging Comparison of Argentina Standard Car and a New Design Concept (2)

The purpose of this research is to clarify the relationship between packaging items and design elements recognized in a packaging comparison between Argentine standard car and a new design concept. Each typical passenger car item and element were studied by comparison of the scattergram graphs of the standard car and the car design with concept, previously created by correspondence analysis. Also, a test performed with an hypothetical concept revealed many pairs of elements. Furthermore, the concept priority between two hypothetical design concepts of the sample case was clarified, having "Safety" as the first priority and "Environmentally Friendly" as the second priority. Argentina's new car design concept features was clarified. by the study of the vector's direction in the correspondence analysis graphs. In this research emphasis was put on the study of the hatchback sedan type because of its connection with the new car design concept made for Argentina.
