Abstract
School social work for the district needs its original skills including case conferences. In Osaka prefecture, besides school social workers for the school, seven school social workers for the district work in seven areas, and manage case conferences with other school staffs. Case conference is beneficial for teacher empowerment and best interests for the child. The skills necessary for case conferences include joining for system, ecological assessment, case conference using solution-focused approach, and case management. Usefulness of these skills for district school social work should be furthermore examined by practice.
