Abstract
The writer suggests the possibility of controlling the effective cooking cycles for sulfite digesting with the help of his own empirical formulas deduced from various mill data, having discussed the relations between the temperature, and cycle of cooking as well as between the latter and total acid content in cooking liquor for the soft and hard pulps.
