In this study, we investigated the influence of fragrance contained in household fabric softener on the autonomic nervous activity by the ECG measurement, when five subjects smelled the fragrance of the household fabric softener and mimetic sweat odor. In comparing the result of ECG on three different odors, the sympathetic nerve was largely activated by smelling the mimetic sweat odor. Therefore it is found that the favorite fragrance of household fabric softener restrain the soul stress caused by every day odors.
