Abstract

This study aims at finding an improvement scheme of community facilities based on residents' use conditions and evaluation in a definitely planned town, Senri New Town. Use conditions of community facilities are influenced by geographical factors such as distances to Neighborhood Centers and District Centers and locations of facilities surround New Town. “Places” for meals, medical care, grocery stores, nursing care and seeing friends are desired in their neighborhood. It is appropriate to add these places in deserted Neighborhood Centers. And it is also efficient to utilize community facilities/places corresponded with needs of residents even though their new use would be different from original plans.
