Students of Japanese Universities of the departments of mining and metallurgy have practiced and studied in the domestic or foreign mines, and made the practical report at their sophomore or junior. We read and arranged these reports as historical material which could examine the development of mining company towns in Japan in the modern times . By investigating the descriptions and the illustrations in these reports, we could make ascertain there had been a new point of view to describe the aggressive housing improvement on the several company towns.
