¹³¹I-Triiodothyronine resin sponge摂取率検査法による乳牛および豚の甲状腺機能検査

抄録

The thyroidal function was examined in 160 dairy cows and 40 pigs by the ¹³¹I-triiodothyronine resin sponge uptake test. The results obtained are as follows.
In normal dairy cows, the mean of ¹³¹I-Triiodothyronine resin sponge uptake ratio (RSU) was 30.2±3.7%(range: 24.3-38.9%) for 40 Holsteins and 34.8±3.9%(range: 28.6-41.0%) for 15 Jerseys.
In normal female pigs, the mean of RSU was 37.6±3.3%(range: 33.4-44.4%) for 11 Landraces and 35.9±4.0%(range: 32.3-41.0%) for 4 Yorkshires.
The mean of RSU varied with the individual animal and the species. It was lower in pregnant animals than in normal females in both dairy cows and pigs.
