Abstract
The prevalence and severity of swine enzootic pneumonia (SEP), atrophic rhinitis (AR) and pleuropneumonia were examined in 83 fattening pigs from a farm.
About 92% of the pigs had on SEP lesion, 36% had AR, and 29% had pleuropneumonia. Positive correlations were found between retarded body weight gain and severity of SEP, and between retarded body weight gain and existence of AR lesions.
The pigs with severe AR lesions tended to exhibit widespread SEP lesions.
