Videofluorographic swallowing studies were performed on a male, 5-month-old Papion, weighing 1.1kg, which showed dysphagia after weaning. Fluorography revealed cricopharyngeal muscle malfunction due to deficits in relaxation of the cricopharyngeal muscle and incoordination between pharyngeal contraction and cricopharyngeal relaxation. After cricopharyngeal myotomy clinical improvement was achieved.
