抄録
Natural convection in three kinds of enclosures are studied using the liquid crystal suspension method, by which temperature and velocity distributions are simultaneously visualized by thermo-sensitive liquid crystal powder suspended in fluids. The first study is natural convection in a horizontal silicone oil layer in a circular cylinder heated from below. The method is applied to natural convections outside and inside of models of nuclear reactor vessel.
