This paper describes the visualization of natural convection in a test section corresponding to a bulb of a discharge lamp. A test section was composed of three kinds of heaters. The visualization was performed using thermosensitive liquid crystal suspensions. Two recirculation flows were observed from the heaters to inner surface of a lamp, namely, a large recirculation flow at the upper section and a small one at lower section.
