Rotating vane type flow meter has been widely used to measure the water quantity through water supply network. Single type, double type and vertical type flow meters are used depending on the water quantity. Vertical type meter is used for large quantity, and the flow fields of it with or without guide vane are visualized using the hydrogen bubble method and are analyzed by PIV. The guide vane is effective to get the uniform velocity, though it increases pressure drop at high flow rate.
