Superlubricity derived from the incommensurate lattice structure appears when the objects with different lattice structure such as the graphene and the gold surface are slid together. In this study, the sliding motion of the graphene sheet on the gold substrate surface with the periodic lattice structure was investigated by using a molecular mechanics simulation. Atomic-scale friction of the graphene sheet at hetero interface is discussed, focusing on the lateral sliding force and the interfacial stacking structure between the graphene and gold.
