The clamped-type vacuum couplings are widely used to connect the vacuum equipment and components. This coupling is standardized by ISO 2861:2013 (JIS B 8365) within the nominal bore of 50. The couplings more than the nominal bore of 50, however, are widely used in the world, especially in east Asia. According to the present situation, the standardization of couplings more than 50 was discussed and approved as a PWI in ISO/TC 112/WG 3. In this report, the present status of the couplings more than 50 are investigated mainly with the manufacturers’ catalogues.
