In the previous paper a system of equations were presented to calculate fundamental factors of rectification for multicomponent mixtures. They are, in this paper, re-examined and rewritten to fit the purpose of numerical calculations. The number of theoretical plates, n, is given by the relation
where xiG is mole fraction on the feed plate, αi is relative volatility of the i-th component and kh, and kl are key parameters to satisfy the equation
To solve this equation a graphical method is offered and the procedure is illustrated by several examples. The method is also used effectively in calculating the minimum reflux ratios.
