The patient was a 36-year old man who had right humeral exostosis. His chief complaint was right arm pain and numbness in the upper extremity. Although he had conservative therapy with stable condition after he noticed his mass 7 years ago, his tenderness increased after playing golf recently. The mass was an elastic hard, plain boundary, and as big as 6X5cm in the right proximal arm. There was no clear osseous mass in another part. His range of motion in the right shoulder was restricted to 170° lexion and 10° external rotation. X-ray showed osteochondromas with a cartilage cap. The operation was performed using anterior and axillary approach. Axillary nerve was identified, and marking was done. Bone tumors were resected while carefully avoiding the nerve. The pathology showed diagnosis was an osteochondromas. The pre-operative symptoms were resolved after resection of the bone tumors while the pain was improved immediately. At follow-up, the patient's pain had fully resolved. In conclusion, the humeral exostosis was able to be resected safely by using anterior and axillary approach.
