ON THE MEASUREMENT OF PATIENT'S TEMPERATURE BY THERMISTOR-THERMOMETER IN ORAL SURGERY

Abstract

The authors made an investigation on the fluctuation of temperature of the patients in oral surgery by thermometer using thermistor. The results obtained are as follows : A. Skin temperature ; Skin temperature of acute inflammatory lesion shows higher than normal region. Skin temperature of tumorous lesion shows a little lower than normal region. B. Temperature during surgery under local anesthesia ; (Case of the excited patient) Central temperature ascends in the course of time, whereas the peripheral temperature descends. C. Temperature during surgery under general anesthesia ; Fluctuation of temperature in case of children is more remarkable than adults.
