In order to clarify the behavior of a jet issuing laterally through a row injection holes on flat and concave surfaces, time averaged and fluctuating temperature profiles in the jet are measured. Velocity and turbulence distributions are also obtained. Correlation of fluctuated velocity and temperature is also acquired. The one vortex motion in the jet is observed near the injection hole in the lateral injection. Jet diffusion by lateral injection covers a broader range in the spanwise direction compared to that by streamwise injection. A small effect of concave surface curvature on cooling effectiveness is obtained in the case of lateral injection.
