In this paper, the vibration characteristics of the tennis racket were identified due to structural modifications, namely : the change of frame's material and the attachment of damping material to the grip part : and due to the structural modification, the sweet spot was decided by selection criterion. The most effective modal parameter for the extension of the sweet spot is the stiffness, determined by the sensitivity analysis. Hence the change of the sweet spot was predicted by the change of stiffness. There was good agreement between the predicted and the measured sweet spot.
