Five fungicides available in organic cropping were evaluated against pea powdery mildew in terms of their control effectiveness and duration of effectiveness in the field in the period of 2008-2010. Sulfur flowable(SF)was the most highly effective with protective values of 99-100 for leaf, pod, and stem lesions. Sodium carbonate・copper wettable powder(SCC)and decanoyl-octanyl-glyceride emulsifiable concentrate(DG)were also highly effective with protective values of 94-100 for leaf and pod lesions, and 72-96 for stem lesions. Sodium carbonate water-soluble powder(SC)and Bacillus subtillis wettable powder :Impression(BSI)were also highly effective with protective values of 89-99 and 82-92 for leaf and pod lesions, while 49-68 and 42-73 for stem lesions, respectively. SF, SCC and DG remained effective 2 weeks,SC 1-2 weeks and BSI 1 week, after application. The leaves and pods sprayed with DG appeared glossy ;however, there are no practical problems associated with the glossiness in pea cultivation.
