Between July 1982 and November 1989, 338 patients with MCLS were using with coronary angiography. Of these patients, 6 were associated with calcification of coronary arteries. In 4 of the 6 patients with calcification, maximum diameter of the coronary artery was over 12 mm. The remaining 2 showed a maximum diameter of the coronary artery over 8 mm. All 6 patients had severe signs of acute inflammatory phase. Myocardial infarction occured in 4 of the 6 patients after the acute stage of illness. Thus, the calcification of coronary arteries should be considered as an important sign for following up MCLS.
