δ(2)-ideal null 2-type hypersurfaces of Euclidean space are spherical cylinders

We prove that a null 2-type hypersurface in the Euclidean (n + 1)-space is an open portion of a spherical cylinder S^n–1 × R if and only if it is δ(2)-ideal.
