Diaminotetraphenoxycyclotriphosphazen N3P3 (NH2) 2 (OC6H5) 4 (APT) was prepared from the reaction of (NPCl2) 3 with ammonia and sodium phenoxide. APT was reacted with potassium dihydrogen phosphate, boric oxide or the compounds obtained from potassium dihydrogen phosphate and boric oxide at 170-250°C untill the amount of NH3 gas attained to the steady state. The product was made up of [OP (O) -OK] x, [NHN3P3 (OC6H5) 4] y, and (OBO) z, units as shown by infrared, Raman and 1H NMR spectroscopy, gel-permination chromatography and chemical analysis. Bonding strength of the product for laminated poly (vinyl chloride) increased with the increase of x in the product.
