The purpose of this paper is to clarify the importance of bringing in women's perspective into promoting sports for activation of a local community. By investigating this problem with an eye to the activity of women in community sport, it is suggested that improving sport environment for women will open up community sport activities to a larger number of participants, will create a new sport network in the community, and will prove to be significant for the resolution of problems of sport and community in the future.
