Bohemannia ussuriella emerged from twigs of Quercus dentata (Fagaceae) collected in Hokkaido, Japan. This represents the first host record for this species and for any Bohemannia species in the East Palearctic. The distribution of this species is also updated and it includes Kyushu, Japan, which represents its southernmost locality.
