We describe a repetitive fast-heating fusion driver called HAMA pumped by Diode Pumped Solid State
Laser (DPSSL) to realize the counter irradiation of sequential implosion and heating laser beams.
HAMA was designed to activate DPSSL for inertial confi nement fusion (ICF) research and to realize a
unifi ed ICF machine for power plants. The details of a four-beam alignment scheme and the results of
the counter irradiation of stainless plates are shown.
