Abstract

In this paper Id escribe the progress of mathematics education from the'80s to '90s of the 20thcentury. This work is viewed from the following points. (1) To investigate the cause of scholastic decadence in those days by ascending to the preceding period ('60s -'70s). (2) To show that mathematics education along the international cooperation was developed. And to reveal that now mathematics education has some study fields, such as Cultural History of Mathematics, Informatics and Distance Learning. (3) To investigate the effectiveness of educational policy from the standpoints of mathematics education.
