Female BDF1 mice were given fusarenon-X(FX), 3.5 mg/kg, by gastric tube at intervals of 4 or 8 weeks for 1 year from 8 weeks of age and sacrificed one year afterwards. In the mice of experimental groups multiple and rather uncommon tumours such as squamous cell carcinoma of the stomach, osteoma, lung adenocarcinoma and papilloma, were observed. Moreover, more severe glomerular sclerosis was found in the FX-treated mice.
