We have studied the relations between the printing direction and electromagnetic properties of the recording sheet made by printing.
When the printing ink on the plate is transfered to paper and dryed up, if the ink has directional tendency in its flow, the pigment particles of the ink may be arranged in the direction. If this arranging is real, the magnetic recording sheet printed with magnetic ink must have high recording characteristics as scanning of a recording head along the direction.
Considering the purpose of recording sheet, the electromagnetic properties were measured about frequency characteristics using the synchroreader, as well as the hysteresis of magnetic layer.
And the effects of printing procedure, surface smoothening treatment and shape of the magnetic powder were investigated.
