Abstract

a. Color is the most important elements in producing excellent prints, but also proper printabilies (rheology, interfacial balance with water, drying) of ink must be considered, because they relate closely to print quality.
b. In the printing field, special functional colors such as golds, silvers, metallics, pearls, fluorescents and phosphorescents, etc, are in practical use.
c. More than 80 standards related to colors are prescribed by JIS now, and new standards and revisions are added every year.
