Kagero Diary was formed under the influence of Monogatari writings andthe private collections of monogatari. Directed by the "choka" (the long poems)in the first volume, the inner description, which had not yet been developed inthe opening paragraphs of Ise Collection or in Tosa Diary, was accomplished inthe second volume, especially in the chapter of "Narutaki gomoriThe wayMichitsuna's Mother, the author of this work, reflected on her past life and fixedher eyes on it first appeared in the form of "choka" and later in prose, whichthe diary literature independent as a genre, eventually Owned the passage tothe establishment of new literary genre.
