『橋姫物語』の位相(<特集>中世 説話と物語)

抄録

There are two texts for Hashihime Monogatari: one is thought to have been formed before Genji Monogatari and is called the "scattered old text", and the other is "emaki" revised in the middle ages. When we stndy the work, it's necessary to restore the old text as well as analyzing the revised one. At the time the old text was formed, the original legend was almost entirely forgotten in the aristocratic society. But in the medieval period, they constructed the new text, gathering every remaining memory of the original legend. The story also seems to have appeared in the world of literature in that period as Tofutan and Hitobashira Legend.
