Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to clear a way of improve tourist reports: Hokkaido and Sapporo, by their typical behaviour and characteristics of the sights. Famous place in tourist resorts consist of symbolic figure; structure, statue, for example, and the sky as a background. The findings are reported below. 1) Symbolic points in the tourist resorts have the open expanse its surroundings. 2) In urban tourist resorts, it is necessary to regulate development. 3) It is found that relation among three factors: the symbolic figure and the sky as a background and typical behaviour of tourists. 4) To improve tourist resorts, it is to be desired that all the relation the remark mentioned above should integrate into a local plan.
