Fe2O3-CuO-Al2O3 catalyst was found to be excellent in both activity and stability to heat in NO-CO reaction. A plausible reaction mechanism was tentatively proposed on the basis of informations obtained in a pulse-reaction method. The reason why the catalytic activity was enhanced by the mixing of Fe2O3 with CuO was discussed.
