Two cases of Bowen's disease, 2 cases of basal cell carcinoma and one case of sebaceous carcinoma, were treated with ODT or pasting of 1% bleomycin ointment for 10 days to 5 weeks. Disappearance of the lesions in 2 cases with Bowen's disease, good results in cases with basal cell carcinoma and no effects on a sebaceous carcinoma, were resulted. It is considered histopathologically that antineoplastic effect of bleomycin ointment in Bowen's disease is promotion of a kind of keratinization to pathological cells in the lesion, then cleaning of these pathological cells from the site of lesion and inhibition of differentiation of these epidermal cells. In basal cell carcinoma, a process of degeneration, destruction and disappearance of the tumor cells were noted during the topical application of bleomycin ointment.
