Abstract
A 78-year-old woman experienced skin eruption following ingestion of tiopronin. The patch and provocative tests were positive. In a clinical survey on the entire 22 cases reported in Japan, the following results were obtained: The drug is usually ingested for 1∼2 weeks before the eruptions appear. The major clinical pattern is exanthematic eruptions and the incidence of positive reaction is high in patch, skin window and provocative tests.
