This follow up study was carried out on 55 cases of giant cell tumor of bone which had been treating in this hospital from 1953 to 1975. From this study we noticed that the sex, age of onset, size of afflicted area on radiography and grade of pathohistology are not so important factors which influence recurrence.
On the other hand, The type of treatment is the most important factor. Resection of lesion with bonegraft is the best method on the point of recurrence. But after this surgical procedure, the disturbances of joint function frequently remain because the almost giant cell tumors of bone ocurr near the joints.
In this point, Curretage of lesion with bone graft is favorable method for us.
