Ventral horn and dorsal horn symptomes of cervical myelopathy were studied using 19 selected cases out of the operated cervical osteochondrosis. Those cases were 8 of impared filling of root pouch and 11 of myelopathy showing single intervertebral block in myelogram. There are no muscle atrophies, clumsiness of fine finger movement and gauntlet sensory changes in the cases of impared filling of root pouch. Muscl atrophies and clumsiness of fine finger movement seen in myelopathy result from ventral horn cell lesion, and sensory changes are considered to be a lesion of dorsal horn or fasciculus cuneatus. Also one case of myelopathy type I (our classification) will be demonstrated.
