Myositis ossificans is a relatively well known complication after Supracondylar fracture of the humerus. But its incidence has decreased in recent years because of careful after-treatment.
We had a chance to treat a 7-year-old female who had a synostosis between humerus and ulna due to incorrect after-treatment of the supracondylar fracture of the humerus. Excision of the excessive bone was performed, and the end-result of the operation was relatively good. Operative findings showed that ossification existed between joint capsule and atrophic brachialis muscle.
