We present two cases of rheumatoid arthritis and two cases of osteoarthrosis of the ankle whose ankle joints were treated with the ceramic total ankle prosthesis.
All the cases were female with the age ranged from 38 to 73 years. They were followed for one year and six months to six years and three months.
In all cases, the clinical symptoms were improved except for range of motion after surgery, but the roentgenograms revealed the clear zone arround the tibial component and the Varying degrees of sinking of the component which appeared to progress with time.
