Ankle joints of 27 soccer players of University were examined by orthopedic surgeons with questionnaire survey and ankle X-ray.
We detected impingement exostosis of ankle joint in 14 players (52%), and the lesion was more often in anterior part than posterior part of ankle joint. But players with ankle pain showed lesions more often with posterior part (5 out of 6 feet) than anterior part (2 out of 17 feet).
They were treated conservatively, but the operative therapy is recommended for the case having difficulties in soccer play.
