This study analyzes the regional differences in Japan's agriproduction-related businesses: farmers' markets, agricultural products processing entities, pick-your-own farms, farm restaurants, and farm guesthouses. We created choropleth maps and cross tabulation tables using recalculations of data from the Survey on Collaboration of Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary Industries, 2010. Analysis results indicate that the rates of total sales of those five businesses per agricultural output tended to increase in municipalities in metropolitan areas. However, the rates of annual sales of agriproduction related businesses per entity in the metropolitan area and other cities were almost identical.
