Research method and application of the prosodic matching paradigm(1)

The method of the prosodic matching paradigm is an important innovation in intonation research. The prosody matching is based on the quantitative description of the pitch, the length and the intensity of a certain intonation system. And then it obtains the correlation coefficient and carries out the significance test (T-test). It is a comprehensive assessment of the degree of naturality and fluency of intonation. The results show that the method of prosodic matching paradigm is suitable for the overall study of intonation, and it is also very effective.
