A trial of anew anesthetic agent, Eunal, for intravenous use in children was described.
This agent was administered intravenously for children ranging in age from 4 to 14 for the purpose of securing general anesthesia under which the following procedu-res were carried out smal operation for out-patient, some sorts of examination accompained by pain, bronchography and intubation. As to the dose, 7.0mg per kg, 100 to 250mg in total, was injected within 30 to 40 seconds for out-patients with satisfactory results, while 8.0mg per kg, 250 to 500 in total, was used within 10 to 14 seconds for the patients admitted.
In conclusion, this agent, Eunal, was simple and safety to administer and seemed superior to any other agents for interavenous administration in children.
