A 85 -year-old woman was admitted to our hospital because of abdominal mass lesions . Laboratory tests showed increased level of soluble IL-2 receptor. CT scan showed multiple mass lesions in the mediastinum and the vicinity of aorta and the inferior vena cava.
Histological diagnosis was obtained by endoscopic ultrasonography-guided fine-needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) using a 22G needle. The tumor was diagnosed as diffuse large B cell lymphoma GCB type according to the result of pathological and immunohistochemical studies. The patient was treated with chemotherapy and had a partial remission. We report a case of malignant lymphoma successfully diagnosed by EUS-FNA.
