Abstract
Case 1 was a 35-year-old male African with chief complaint of muco-bloody stool. Colonoscopic examination showed a parasite inserting into the mucosa of lower portion of ascending colon. It was removed by forceps and confirmed to be female imago of Trichuris trichiura. Mebendazole was given and symptom subsided.
Case 2 was a 29-year-old male patient with chief complaint of persistent left sided abdominal pain since 2 years ago. A polypoid lesion was suspected by barium enema examination. Colonoscopy showed parasites inserting into the mucosa of cecum. There were removed by forceps and confirmed to be larvae of anisakis. Mild type anisakiasis with no relation to chief complaint was diagnosed.
