Abstract
Photoluminescence (PL) and Electroluminescence (EL) abilities of 9,10-bis(silylethynyl)antheacene were investigated. Fluorescence quantum yield of these compounds increased drastically and reached nearly unity by the substitution of silylethynyl groups for 9, 10-position of anthracene. EL devices made of 9,10-bis triphyenylsilylethynyl)anthracene showed greenish yellow EL, and the use of PEDOT/PSS and Alq3 improves the performance of the device.
